Pathfinders provides a nurturing and supportive environment, where children have fun, challenge themselves, and learn to become independent learners. Our hands-on STEAM educational experiences are designed to help your child develop their critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills.
Interest-Led Classes
Interest-led classes are the cornerstone of our programming. Here children are free to learn what peaks their curiosity. Without hindering their innate curiosity, playfulness, and other natural ways of learning, we provide a nurturing environment that allows for the purposeful development of their intellect and skills. We use Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) learning experiences as catalysts for mastering 21st century skills. We may decide to learn how hot air balloons work and make our own in the process! Or we may decide that we want to figure out how to grow food on the moon, and grow a salad without soil!
Teacher-Led LEGO Robotics
Hands-on, interactive classes where the learning experiences are chosen in advance by our expert trained teachers. Projects include design review, building, and programming of a robot. Classes are curated to align with the developmental level of attendees. Projects may include the design, building, and programming of a robot that can drive itself. After designing and building, we can also ask our robot to use a color sensor to detect and follow lines. We may build a gear model to help us understand the basics of gears and use this knowledge to build a motorized vehicle. This motorized vehicle can then helps us to investigate how gear ratios can be adjusted to alter the torque and speed, to then ask our creation to move up the steepest incline possible.
Teacher-Led STEAM Classes
Hands-on, interactive classes where the learning experiences are chosen in advance by our expert trained teachers. Our hands-on STEAM educational experiences are designed to help your child develop their critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills. These teacher-led classes maintain our focus on mastering 21st century skills through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) learning experiences. All classes are curated to align with the developmental level of attendees. Projects may include the design and building of flying objects such as planes, gliders, kites or hot air balloons (we have also been known to build catapults and slingshots!). We may also choose to to design and build structures such as buildings bridges. We may then test the structural integrity of our design choices with stress tests such as vibration and load bearing. More often than not this brings us back to update our original design with targeted improvements. Who knows what the next stress test will tell us!
Summer Camps
Join us for an amazing summer of creativity and exploration at Pathfinders Summer camp. Sessions for this summer include Out of this World Science, Secret Agent Training, Arts & Crafts as well as our favorite, the Cardboard Regatta. Come ready to discover, explore, create, make friends and lasting memories.

Tutoring
Small group and 1:1 tutoring available. Expertly trained teachers provide developmentally appropriate instruction in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics.
